[edit] Why is the 2007.0 VM so big?
The download size has really not increased considerably over the last GentooVM that was made.
- GentooVM 2006.1: 409 MB compressed (1.16 GB extracted)
- GentooVM 2007.0: 467 MB compressed (1.97 GB extracted)
Though, admittedly, I feel that there could be steps taken to reduce the size a little bit (especially on the extracted version). If you're referring to the fact that the GentooVM images are labeled as 10 GB, that is simply the size that I made their virtual disk (so in essence, is the size the virtual disk is allowed to expand to before reporting being full); which is another aspect that I plan to reduce, as I feel 10 GB is slightly over-kill for a virtual machine.

Guys the Torrent for the 2007 RC seems to be dead? Can someone seed?

My apologies, the server I had setup as a dedicated seeder had a PCI slot fail (the one that the SATA controller was on) but has since been fixed.

NB: If you copy the VM your network adapters get a new Mac, if you have issues try this fix: http://communities.vmware.com/thread/83797 - look at this it helped me solve my issues
